Recently the new Facebook Pages Manager Application became available on apple iPhone. The Pages Manager App allows page administrators access to their pages on the go. Last week I quickly downloaded the app and I’ve been using it to see how it stacks up. I applaud Facebook for taking the step to introduce the app because page administration from within the Facebook App itself has been difficult and I avoid it at all costs. The new Pages application, whilst still not perfect is a nice start in the right direction.
Here’s my take on it.

UPDATED 2nd July 2012
It would appear that Facebook have been listening to The Pages Manager App users. I’m pleased to report that after checking my pages on the app last night you now receive notifications when you have a message and you can respond to these all from within the app. In addition to this the ‘photos’ tab is also available. Here’s an image of the new options taken from my iphone app:
All Facebook have written a blog post outlining all of the changes and the update to messenger.
UPDATED 25th September 2012
Last week Facebook announced some new additions to the Facebook pages manager application for iOS. One of the major additions is the ability to schedule Facebook status updates from your mobile device. This is a handy tool to have when you want to share something on the run, however for the time being it does not include the ability to upload photos into a scheduled post. If you’d like to learn how you can schedule a post via the Facebook Pages Manager app take a look at this Youtube clip:

In addition to the ability to schedule a post from your Facebook Pages Manager App you can also use the ‘Promote a Post’ option provided you have already created a post on your computer.
Have you noticed the changes? Do you use the Pages Manager App when you are out and about?
