If you have been keeping an eye on my Facebook page you probably already know by now that you can edit ANY Facebook posts – YAY!!! I have talked before about the fact that you could edit Facebook updates that have an image (on your Facebook page) but this news is great, particularly if you share a lot of links or post plain text. Today’s tip is a quick ‘how to’ just in case you missed the news.
You’ll find this new feature here when you click on the top right hand corner of your post (there’s a little arrow when you hover over it):
Click on the ‘edit’ option and it will look like this:
Add your edits and click on ‘Done Editing.’ Now you will notice that your Facebook post has a little note which says the post was ‘edited.’
If anyone clicks on the text where it says ‘edited’ they will be able to see the history of the edits which is great for transparency. It looks like this:
Do you think you will be using this new feature from Facebook? I think it’s great because as much as we all try to avoid typos, let’s face it, they happen to the best of us!
