Do you use Photo-Map on Instagram? If you have a public account for your retail store, shopping centre or small business, you might consider using it to help increase your reach. Here’s two ways you can achieve this:
Use Photo Map When Uploading Photos:
When you upload photos to your Instagram account you have the opportunity to select ‘Add to Photo Map.’ It’s that easy!
When you do this with a public account, your photos will be discoverable when other people click on the same location in photo map, let me explain in the next section…
Click on the location of other photos
When you click on the location of a photo which has been posted to Instagram like this:
You will see another page open up with users who have also added their photos to photo map, these will be public users or accounts that you follow. This is what it looks like when I click the Queen Victoria Building:
The map appears and you can see underneath that there’s a heap of photos taken by other Instagram users. This is a great way to discover who your customers are and follow them (if the location is your business), alternatively you might use this as a way to connect with people who have like minded interests or shared a similar experience at this location.
